About Jack Farrell

Jack Farrell, P. Eng.

J. E. (Jack) Farrell, P. Eng. is a professional engineer registered in British Columbia with experience since 1964 with consulting engineers, as a statutory decision-maker and in his own practice.

He earned his B.Sc. (1964) from the University of Strathclyde (Glasgow) and worked for a number of years in the United Kingdom and Canada on major civil, structural and land development projects. He joined the British Columbia Government in 1972 and after holding progressively senior positions became the statutory decision-maker with responsibility for water management. His positions in the Provincial Government as Deputy Comptroller and Comptroller of Water Rights included responsibilities under the Water Act, Water Utility Act, Utilities Commission Act and the Water Protection Act.

Since establishing JE Farrell & Associates Inc. in 1997,
he has continued assisting clients in the following areas:
